Orlando Entertainment

 
  One word that is synonymous with Orlando, Florida, is “entertainment.” Orlando is famous for its family recreation, especially the amusement and theme parks. Sea World, Universal Orlando Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and many more are located in this dynamic city. Orlando has also become a mecca for business meetings and conferences and also offers a wide range of sports events and celebrations.  Business in Orlando is largely dependent on the tourism industry, so you will find a lot of jobs surround hospitality and other satellite industries. Orlando Theatre and Performing Arts

The Shakespeare Theater, which had its opening day nineteen years ago, is now a venue that is regionally respected and provides performance and education for all year round. The theater complex, called the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, includes the Ken and Trisha Margeson Theater, the Mandell Studio Theater, the Marilyn and Sig Goldman Theater,  Studio B, Dr. Phillips Patrons’ Room, lots of shops, offices, and the beautiful Darden Courtyard outside.
 

  The Mayor Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre provides the venue for several performing groups. The Orlando Opera, the Orlando Philharmonic, and the Florida Symphony Youth Orchesra all call the Carr Auditorium home. Throughout the year the centre offers other performances and shows, as well as exhibits, displays, musicals, and events.
 

Orlando Museums

  Museum strolling is one of the favorite activities of residents as well as visitors, and you can find lots of museums in Orlando. The Morris Museum in Winter Park is a favorite. It was founded in 1942 in honor of Charles Hosmer Morse by his grand daughter. Over the course of many decades the collection has increased considerably and now features the work of many artists, most recently the glass artist Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933).

Lake Eola

  This is also a favorite for outdoor recreation, and yet is in the heart of the city. The lake and its park are like a small getaway deep in the city, and many of the locals frequent it for swimming, fishing, water sports, and more. You can also hear concerts at the Walt Disney Amphitheatre, dine at the restaurant, travel around the lake on a paddle boat, or just watch your kids have fun at the playground.
