  Leesburg is one of several other towns that border the Harris Chain of Lakes. These lakes form a very popular recreation area, and provide facilities for sailing and boating, water skiing, fishing, windsuring, jet skiing, and swimming. Bass fishing is its prime sport, however, and the lake is well known for producing prize fish and exciting sport fishing in general.

 Leesburg Art Show

 The Leesburg Art Festival is one of the most well-respected in the area and is held in downtown. This is a juried show with lots of prizes for the best artists and food for everyone. 140 artists are invited to show, and the grand prize is a whopping $3000.
