This display turns slowly, and the flags celebrate the national diversity of the residents of Daytona Beach Shores and of the United States as well. There is a lot of auto racing history on the island in many locations, as well. The city also provides local amenities for residents, such as a recreation center (The Oceans Racquet & Recreation Club) and a senior center (The Daytona Beach Shores Senior Center). There are also beautiful parks in the Shores as well, and plans are currently underway to construct more of them.
