Apopka Real Estate
Apopka is one of the older cities in Florida, having been founded in 1882. It got the nickname “Fern City” after this plant became the major source of livelihood for residents and businesses. Soon this predilection for plants expanded into other potted tropical species and it soon became the “Indoor Foliage Capital of the World,” even though Apopka means “a big potato” in the local Native American languages. Only 12 miles north west of Orlando, Apopka has access to all the great employment opportunities and activities of the city.
